I am a bit hesitant in posting this in case every corp starts doing it, however the time has come to lay it on the table for better or worse.
Currently my corp is in a war with another corp. Reasonably evenly matched in numbers and so forth. The issue we are having (and have petitioned) is that when the WT's are outnumbered online, they switch to a 'sister' corp to remove the WT status and are free to roam around and do missions funding their war effort etc etc. When they are ready to hunt, or have superior numbers they then switch back to the war dec'd corp and have their fun. Basically dictating the time, place and circumstance that they will be war targets.
The frustration for us, is that we are effectively fighting ghosts. When we have superior numbers they turn off their WT status. When we have low numbers they turn it back on again. With the current game mechanics they are free to do this at will and we've even seen them do it in mid flight to avoid being engaged.
I would like to know whether manipulating the game mechanics of free and instant corp transfers when they are in trouble, outnumbered or not ready is 'working as intended'.
For us, we are WT's 24/7. We mission and fund our war effort remaining potential targets throughout. They are employing a very disappointing yet effective strategy which is reflected in the current war score of 36 deaths to 1 kill. Insta-switching when your friends are not online to back you up is weak.
The playing field is not balanced, the game mechanic is being exploited, and these actions are not in the spirit of the game.
I would like to suggest the devs look closely at putting a cooldown on corp switching. 24, 48 or 72 hours sounds reasonable to me.
I hope its fixed asap. Its a weak tactic and not one to be emulated by anyone that has any pride.

Yes about 6 petitions went in. The GM's advised us to post on this forum as the solution is a 'development issue'.

OK, I deliberately avoided naming names and corps in my post because I wanted to focus on the issue not the personalities. I figured if any guilty consciences needed to justify themselves they would turn up in good time. I wasn't expecting so many of you, but welcome nonetheless.
Its rediculous to say that we are employing the same tactic as you guys. Nobody in our corp has left since the war has started, let alone switch back and forth on a daily basis. That would be total hypocrisy and I would not have written the original post if it were the case.
Conversely, many of your members employment history is like reading a novel. I know you wish you could erase your employment histories, but the reality is you exploit the system to give yourselves a tactical advantage and the beauty of it is, i dont need to prove it - its plain to see for anyone that checks the pilot infos within your corp.
Now that your tactic has been exposed and all eyes are on your employment histories, I am expecting to see less corp switching in the future, so if nothing else we will have achieved a moral victory. Every click of the accept button is another nail in your credibility coffin, so now its up to you to decide.
I think everything on this exploit that can be said, has been said. It is now up to the devs to make things right.
Further smacktalk will clearly be counterproductive, so please try to restrain yourselves from looking anymore stupid.
Thanks R.

You don't need to justify yourself to me. Save it for the judge. I'm merely highlighting a weakness in the current game mechanic for the developers.
If this post is now more appropriate in the general discussion forum its because you guys have hijacked it with smacktalk.
I will repeat my recommendation to the devs to put a cooldown on corp switching.
If you guys have 'ideas and recommendations' to add to the forum, by all means go and post a new thread otherwise keep this on topic and leave the smack at the door.

The issue has been highlighted, the recommendation has been made in line with the forum category.
Happy for the thread to be closed by the admins.
